Here's another 30 minute, 1 brush study. I'm still trying to cut down on the fussy stuff and simplify the brush work.

Here's another quick study. I'm not only playing with limited palettes but I'm also putting a 30 minute time limit on these to help prevent excessive doodling.

This is the northeast corner of Convict Lake in the Eastern Sierras.
