Here are a couple more little quick studies. I'm staying small and quick to avoid getting sucked into all those little details that I like so much.
These were also both done in acrylics. I'm trying to get more comfortable with them before I head back to Michigan this summer. Flying the airlines with oils is becoming such a drama that I want to try a trip with acrylics. We'll see how it goes...

I came across a photo that I've painted before and decided to paint it again using the new Golden Open acrylics. I'm still getting used to them but I think they could be an advantage outside so I'll keep at it.

I stopped by on Saturday to this year's edition of the Highland Valley Studios Music and Arts Festival. It was nicely done in a beautiful setting and I believe a good time was had by all.
Highland Valley Studios is a growing center for artists here in San Diego County. They're offering a number of good looking workshops over the next year.
Boy! It takes forever to build a new website. Especially if you do it from scratch - by yourself! What was I thinking?
Anyway, it's officially up and running now. I still have a lot to do on it and I'll be adding a number of new features and pages over the next few weeks (and months). But the basic framework is there.
